Firstly, the weather in winter along the Mozambique coastline is quite pleasant; it’s not too hot, which allows you to enjoy longer periods of time out in the sun. The weather conditions also remain quite stable; no rain means more beach time to enjoy fishing and diving!
There are also fewer Mosquitos around in winter, as opposed to summer, which means that the risk of catching malaria is lowered.
On top of that, the June school holidays are just around the corner and it makes perfect sense that you get away to escape the winter chill of the city and have a fun beach holiday. At Barra, we cater for children and teens. All our activities are centred around beach life and natural environment.
As if that’s not enough reason, take a look at our special “Winter Warmer” reduced rates packages - giving you a superb holiday at an affordable price. [link to specials on website]

As many of you may be aware, as of 1 June 2015, the rules and regulations have changed for minors travelling abroad. Under the new regulations, parents travelling to and from SA with children under the age of 18 are required to produce an unabridged birth certificate for each child. Please note that airlines will be forced to refuse travel to families not in possession of these documents. Click here to ensure that you have the correct documents, or further information on these guidelines.
We look forward to seeing you in our beautiful part of the world, sunny Mozambique – the land of smiles…
Adeus for now,
The Barra Team
